Dolphin Realty/Hatteras Cabanas Rental Policy
March 17, 2020 Dare County placed travel restrictions for the county. As long as these restrictions remain in place Dolphin Realty will continue to work with the Travel Insurance partners and the homeowners to transfer any reservation that is impacted to a comparable week for the same property when applicable or to process cancellations.
Being that this is an unusual situation, and we are not sure as to when the travel restrictions that are in place for Dare County will be lifted, we are handling reservations week by week. We want to thank you for your patience and ask that you please understand with the change to limited staff and the daily routine due to the orders made by the government officials, refund can take anywhere from 30 to 60 days.
Changes and Cancellation
If you have a reservation that is or to be impacted by the travel restrictions in place for Dare County, you will be contact either by email or phone number that is on file for leaseholder.
If you have a reservation that will not be definitively impacted by the current Dare County travel restrictions that are in place and you are considering cancelling your existing reservation and purchased travel insurance, you may want to contact your provider to see if your particular situation may be covered.
If you decide that you need to cancel your reservation, you will need to first notify us in writing by emailing us at [email protected]. Once the notification is received writing of you cancelling, every effort to re-rent the property will be made. If the property is re-rented, you will receive a refund less any difference in the rate paid by the new reservation, all applicable taxes, fees and travel insurance premium if paid. When your cancellation notice has been submitted, you will need to contact your travel insurance provider, if applicable, to begin the steps of filing your claim.
